Why this Blog?

Hi this is Laveena Bhatia, I'm a passionate baker and have been baking since the age of 12. I used to be so amazed when I would watch those television programmes where they would make some really mouth watering desserts and used to be awestruck and often wondered -how the hell did they make that!!..Is it really edible?...
However, Masterchef Australia, since the season 2 that I have seen, has changed my perspective about pastry and confectionery. In fact, we all should thank MasterChef Australia for being the reason why people have started valuing desserts cause they are just not cakes and pastries that we eat of birthdays and special occasions, pastry is much more than that, its a science which only a few great chefs have mastered (till now!!)
Pastry is not only about the taste, its also about the presentation, always remember "you eat your food first with your eyes". Its very important to present it neatly and its not that you have to use expensive cutlery, No!!..You should just keep it simple and let the food do the talking.
Food has this amazing quality of expressing your feeling for your loved ones which even words can't do! It has the power to connect people and the joy on people's face when they gobble all your yummy food!.. Thats gotta be a real good reason for you'll to cook in the first place..
I have been researching about recipes, measurements, different methods of baking and pastry making, however I have always had difficulty in finding the correct source for a good recipe, I have attended many classes but they were of not much help cause till the time you don't research on your own and get a "hands-on" practice its not going to help you and somehow in these classes at that point of time you understand everything but at home when you practice there's always something missing.
Hence I believe its my moral responsibility to provide you with the information, the little knowledge and recipes that I have found and practiced. Feel free to leave comments, suggestions and I hope that when you make these recipes, your family and friends just say "Thats so Yummy!"

Happy Baking!
